the Fab Five

YAY!!!  A little over 2 years ago, God reunited me with Lisa, one of the Fab 5 and BFF's from high school.  All 5 of us went to different colleges and had not seen each other in 34 years!  God's timing is perfect, Lisa was able to attend Colby's bridemaids luncheon and a year later we got to "boogie down" @ Williams' wedding.  Just like the old days, "da bump" to "shes a brick house".
After recovering from all the weddings in the family, I went on a major "hunt" for the rest of the
Fab Five.  Using FB, Lisa, my Mom, and sweet Wendy from HS, after months of exhausting my resources, I finally reconnected with all four!  We were all so excited, we decided getting together was a must. Cindy and Elizabeth wanted to go somewhere warmer than the ice and snow they have tolerated in 2011.  Cindy took the "bull by the horn" and found us a fabulous house to stay where we would each have our own rooms.  It happened to be one of my favorite beaches in the world and close enough for Wanda and me to drive.  Carillon Beach is gorgeous and we couldn't have ordered better weather!

With great anticipation we met for five days and nights, Words cannot express how blessed we all are!  I've always heard, "If you have more than one real friend, you are truly blessed."  I have been so blessed in my lifetime by friends, and God continues to bless me, by reconnecting me with 4 unbelievably fabulous women.  The whole week, couldn't have been better!
Lisa was the first to arrive, we then picked Cindy up!

On Wed afternoon Wanda arrived!  We then went to pick up Elizabeth.  She completed us!

And we are GAME on!   We played a high school memory game, "who loves ya Baby" and sorta "which statement is a lie" (that was the plan anyway)!  We laughed and talked till the wee hours of the morning.  Couldn't have been more fun.
We also brought gifts from home for each other!  Slumber parties are the bomb!!!  We went to Zumba, out to dinner, hit the dance floor at the "Old Florida Fish House",  loaded pics on computer, had a photo shoot on the beach, and even fit in trip to "Emerald Coast Urgent Care"!  Never a dull moment, "Wonder what that looks like?"  LOL  So as not to wonder, we took tons of pics, here's what it looked like!!!
The first night, all together again, we went to one of my favorite views on earth, Bud and Alley's in Seaside, FL.  We chatted till dark and then went to Paradis in Rosemary Beach for dinner.  Yummy!!!
Then back to the house, and we talked and talked and talked and talked and talked some more!

The next morning we woke up, lingered over coffee, then got ready for our "big fat photo shoot" on the beach.  Thanks to my buddy, Marsha!

Props are a must have for a photo shoot, T-shirts and caps!

and it was someone's good idea to "do a stunt"!!!  We're 50 something, really!

Of course,  I will have to blog about this trip again so for now,  I leave you with the Fab Five on the beach!
