I am soo blessed. I'm sure I mentioned this before, but
just for the record, I have the best, most wonderful, daughter
in the world. Prior to Thanksgiving, Colby invited me to visit her
in Memphis, the week after Thanksgiving. She wanted us to
plan a special "craft" for the children at Brinkley Heights!
My wonderfully talented and resourceful friend, Cindy,
tapped into her world of resources and came up with lots
of great ideas. The two last standing were:
and
We chose the later. We used to paint a cute reindeer on sweatshirts
when Colby was little and I'm crazy bout hearts! Cindy also
found a great little reindeer cookie recipe-ish!
I arrived on Fri night with Colby having to run out the door
to the live Nativity play @ BH. Doug cooked dinner, we ate then
went to the Christmas program!
On Saturday, Colby made sure we had the opportunity to shop the
scrapbook stores. No sign of North Pole by Crate Paper
but I did find English Rose for Cindy and myself!
Then made it home in time for the SEC championship game.
At the half, Colby and I left Emily and Noah's, and Colby went
back to work, for the second weekend night in a row! While at work, AU
beat South Carolina and became the 2010 SEC champs! WE
On Sunday, we went to church, then lunch with Larry. After lunch, at some
point, we made our Reindeer cookies!
Doug, got a little crazy with the camera!
Then a few friends over for "Amazing Race"!
Monday was our day to "craft" with the second graders. A great time
was had by all!!!
I hope she will invite me again!!!
